Listen to Tim’s Music

Tim Doherty is a songwriter and cactus keeper living on the Costa Tropical in Granada, Spain.

He grew up in the Boston punk scene of the 1990s — loud rooms, DIY ethics, fast songs, and the kind of urgency that comes from trying to figure yourself out before the world figures you out for you. That early life shaped his understanding of community, resistance, and creative independence, even as the volume eventually gave way to something quieter.

Now rooted in the Andalusian soil beneath the Sierra de Lújar, Doherty spends his days tending land, cultivating Huachuma, and working in close relationship with the rhythms of ecology and seasonality. His music reflects that long arc — from noise to listening, from extraction to stewardship.

These songs are less about escape and more about return.

They trace a path through sobriety, spiritual awakening, and an evolving respect for the living systems that sustain us. Inspired by the land he lives on and the medicine traditions that have informed his growth, Doherty’s work invites listeners to slow down, cut their own path, and find their way back home.
