Wagging Tails is a small, land-rooted dog refuge based at Finca Lola on Spain’s Costa Tropical. We’re not a warehouse kennel or a strip-mall franchise. We’re a real home on a real hill, where a handful of dogs at a time come to run, rest, and remember what a good day feels like.

By day, Wagging Tails is calm, structured daycare. Dogs arrive in the morning, settle in, and then do what dogs are meant to do: explore shaded terraces, follow their noses along safe country tracks, nap in cool corners, and check in with humans who actually live here. Group sizes stay small and compatible so nobody gets overwhelmed. Every dog is seen as an individual, not a slot on a whiteboard.

By night, we become an overnight rest retreat. A limited number of dogs sleep inside, in a lived-in home environment, not alone in a metal crate. Evenings mean slow walks, clean bowls, predictable routines, and a human presence nearby. Mornings are unhurried: breakfast, a stretch, and another run under the same sky they arrived to.

Wagging Tails serves two kinds of humans at once.

For local and regional dog people, we’re a trusted, long-term partner: a place you can rely on for regular daycare, overnights, and backup when life gets busy. Your dog gets to know our house, our land, our rhythms—and we get to know them.

For guests staying at or near Finca Lola, Wagging Tails is what makes bringing your dog simple instead of stressful. You can travel together, settle into your stay, join river walks and slow days on the hill, and then hand your dog to us when you need a few hours or an evening of human-only time. They stay close, cared for, and relaxed while you rest, explore, or join whatever brought you here.
